Bracing for Hurricane Paloma

Yeah, I have the internet again. I didn't realize how much I relied on it until I was without it of a week. My neighbour actually gave us his password so we could use his through our wireless connection until ours gets hooked up. We are preparing to get hit by Hurricane Paloma. It is at a Cat 2 right now and going to pass over the island in a couple of hours. It is projected to reach a Cat 3 by the time it is over us. This one is a little bit scarier than Gustav. He just passed by us as a cat 1, but Paloma is going directly over the island. We have had rain and winds for the past few days. Today there is a lot of rain and big gusts of wind. Our power keeps flickering, and we don't know how much longer it will be on. We have plenty of food and water, and are just going to wait it out in our apartment. I haven't gone down to the beach or out at all today but I bet the waves are crazy huge right now. I will try to get some pictures when it is safe to go out again. I am sure we will be fine and I will update you all when I can.

Heidy and Austin, Robbie here. It's so good to see you're doing good. I'm so excited for Austin to be in his 1st year of Med School...it's really happening after all these years! I have an interview at the U of U on Monday and I'm holding my breath to get in there. If not, Midwestern is a great school and I feel very fortunate to have an acceptance. Good luck and we'll chat later...

Good grief!! I would be freaking out right about now, but I guess you get used to it over there!! Annie was excited that the girls were looking at her Birthday Pic's. She keeps asking me when Allie is coming back from her vacation:)

Hey. This is Jamie from when we were little. My mom was on the phone with yours and I asked if you had a blog and here you are. It looks like life is going well for you. Your girls are beautiful. It's so fun to keep up with old friends thru blogs. It's great to see you on here.
