Crazy life in Cayman

Hi, I'm so sorry I have been so behind on my blog. I have been so extremely busy this last month with the move and trying to fit in time with all my friends and family, some things had to get neglected and my blogging was it. But we have officially moved to Grand Cayman!!!

Things went okay with the traveling. It started out pretty crappy. We were supposed to fly out of Las Vegas at 6:00 am on the 6th. Well I guess you have to check in a certain amount of time before your flight and we missed that time by 5 min. So they gave our seats to someone on standby. Even though we would have has plenty of time to make it through the airport and on the flight. It was like my worst nightmare come true. So they had to reschedule our flight. It was nuts I was standing in this line of 2 people that seemed like it would last forever. Waiting to see if we could even get rescheduled. I just about had a panic attack. Well they did reschedule us for a 10:45 p.m. red eye flight to Miami. Which really sucked. So we were stuck in the airport because Austins sister had already left for work. We had to call and change all of our rental car and hotel reservations. (by change I mean eat the money for the night we had the room booked and didn't use it.) Poor Allie and Kaity were asleep on the floor, I felt so bad for them.. Luckily Austins sister could get off work to come and get us and take us back to her house. I felt so bad because she had already gotten up at 4 to get us there. So we sat at her house for 12 hours until we could go back to the airport for our flight.

We made this one in plenty of time. Allie and Kaity did not fall asleep right away as I had hoped. They only slept for about 2 1/2 hours of the almost 5 hour flight. I think I may have maybe slept 30 min. Austin slept maybe 1 hour. It was a long night. Then when we got to Miami we had a 4 1/2 hour layover. That was the worst part of the trip. The girls did not sleep there either. They were so good though considering everything. Austin and I were just so dang tired that it was hard to have patience with them. The flight to Cayman was good and only 1 1/2 hours and allie slept most of the time. Kaity on the other hand was crazy hyper.

We got through customs and everything but then as we were getting our luggage we realized that one of our bags was missing. It of course was the bag that has all my get ready stuff in it. So hopefully they can find it soon so I don't have to keep looking like crap.

Cayman is great! It rained pretty hard right after we got out of the airport as were loading our bags, which made driving a little hard. But we made it to the hotel and got a nap then we had dinner over at this couple that we know from Beaver who is over here for medical school also. Then we came home and went to the beach for a little while even though it was dark. (it gets dark around 7:30, weird) The girls loved it and it was soooo relaxing for Austin and I to just sit and listen to the waves. I can't wait to see the girls' reaction to the beach when they can actually see the water and sand better. Any way I am so tired and am going to bed. I'll try to get some pictures up soon but it may be a little while until I can get settled a little more. We love and miss you all.

oh man, it sounds like the trip from you know where! I am glad you are here (by here I mean in the caribbean too!) It gets dark at 7:30 here too. It was very strange to be in Utah where it stays light until like 9:30 at night. I hope everything else goes smoothly for you.

You should have called me to come and get you! I would have liked to have ya'll at my house for a little while. It's not as nice as Angie's, but, it's 'aight...just kidding. Sorry you had to go through that!
