Look Mom, no Training Wheels!

First of all, today is my mom and dad's 22nd Anniversary. I have been thinking a lot about my sweet mom and remembering my wonderful dad today. I wish that I could be there to hug my mom but this will have to do instead. I am so amazed at how strong and amazing my mom is. She is such a strength to me and such a wonderful mother. When Austin was going through cancer I had someone tell my mom that I was a "rock" and seeing my how my mom has handled things the past 7 months I realize that she is the "rock" and I just take after her a little bit. I love and appreciate her more each day. I hope that she will have much peace and comfort on this day and be so proud of the accomplishment they created, their family.

Now on to the next thing. Yesterday, Allie taught Kaity how to ride a bike without training wheels!!! I hurt my back about a week ago and it is almost better but not quite and Kaity was really wanting to learn how to ride Allies bike so Allie taught her since I couldn't. Once Kaity learned how to balance, Allie would walk beside her and then let go, and off Kaity would go.

Thumbs up for the Awesome Teacher!!!

Kaity practiced and practiced so she would be able to show her dad when he got home.

I love the look on her face here. She had just shown Austin how good she could ride.

Here is some video footage.

As you can see in the video she never quite got the hang of how to use the breaks. She fell like that several times and she would always get up and say "I'm okay, I'm okay". Once she fell and scraped her self up a little and she was crying and I told her to put the bike up and we could take a break for a little bit. She said (while still crying) " no, I don't want to stop I want to keep practicing so I will be able to do it really good for daddy when he comes home". I had to hand it to her for her dedication.

In spite of all the scrapes was a good day!!!

Happy Anniversary Mom I Love You!!!

I was thinking about your Mom today and didn't even know it was their anniversary, interesting. I just think about her every so often and hope that she is doing ok. She is strong though. Looks like little Kaity got some strength too, what a tough little bug. I think that this post is so cute, your girls are darling and that was awesome of Allie to be so patient with her.

Yikes! I didn't know you did this, I've been so busy, and it's 2 weeks later already. I loved it! Thank you for all the nice things you said. You kids are what keeps me going, though. I still have the pink carnations you sent (my favorite) 'cause they last so long. The picture of Kaity holding her skinned knee looks just like one of your expressions when you were little. It nicely brought me waaaay back. I'm proud of Allie and Kaity for the bicycle accomplishment. Austin looked both concerned and busting with pride! The Anniversary was the hardest milestone, so far as "firsts" go. I'm hopelessly in love with Mark as long as this Earth life goes,so am just living for the next. Can't wait to be dancing in his arms
again! I love your Dad, and you and your family. See ya next month!
Love MOM

Wow, I got on to read your blog because out of the blue the other day I remembered your fathers day post. I was listening to the scriptures in my car and I was thinking about how people are inspired when they might just think they are doing little things like asking someone to speak in church. Before I knew it I was sobbing when I was thinking about your fathers day talk... I am going to print it off an keep it in my scriptures. I hope that is ok.

Love ya,
I cant wait to see you this summer. I bought my tickets to come up June 23rd through August 11th. We need to PLAY!!!
