Swimming With Dolphins!! Yeah Baby!

Yesterday for my Birthday we went to Dolphin Cove and swam with the dolphins. It was so much fun. It was a little more than I would have liked to have spent but this is something that we wanted to do before we left the island and we got a really good deal so we figured this was as good of a time to do it as any. I am so glad we did. Austin and I did the Ultimate Swim which was with 2 dolphins, Luna and Pepe.

When we first got in the water they have the dolphins dance, sing, and they swim by so we can pet them.

Next, they have us turn around and hold our hands out and the dolphins swim up beside us. As they passed we would grab onto their top fin and they pull us around. It was so cool to feel how powerful the dolphins are.

Next, they would blow a whistle and the dolphin would come over and kiss you on the cheek then you had to kiss the dolphin or they wouldn't leave.

The dolphins (hand) fin actually slapped my back side, he was a little forward for a first date. Ha ha ha
After that was the real fun part. We would lay on our stomach and flex our feet and the dolphins would swim up behind us and put their nose on the bottom of our feet and then push us up out of the water. It was so awesome.

Austin did a great pose for the camera.
Oh, how sweet!!

I am so glad that we ended up doing this it was so cool.
When we were finished the dolphins did a little show jumping for us. It was amazing to see them so close jump out of the water so high and to see how muscular they are. They seriously are amazing animals.
After Austin and I were finished I got to let the girls do a Dolphin Encounter. We stood on this little platform and they had the dolphins swim by so the kids could pet them. Allie was scared of them at first. Go figure. Kaity got to get a kiss from the Dolphin Nemo and she gave it a kiss to but my head was in the way so we didn't get a good picture of it. Allie was still too scared.
Then Kaity and I got to dance with Nemo.
When it was our turn to have some one on one time with the dolphin Allie was still scared and clung to my back side the entire time. Kaity had fun though.

Finally, Allie wasn't as scared and she would pet the dolphin when they would have it swim by. She had a good time after that.

The girls loved swimming with the dolphins and I am so glad that they got the opportunity to do this. We did learn a lot of cool things about dolphins.
I decided that I wanted to take the girls with us when we went to dinner. It was such a good birthday to just get to spend time with my family. After dinner Austin went to the priesthood session. The girls made me a cheesecake. All I did was measure the ingredients and let instruct the girls. Then they had me sit down and they did the dishes and vacuumed the floor for me. When we were getting ready to take the cheesecake over to our neighbours Kaity got it out of the fridge. ( I don't have a pie tin so we made it in a 9x9 glass pan) She was walking and she accidentally dropped the cheesecake. The glass shattered and the cheesecake was splattered all over the glass. Allie immediately started to cry (she loves cheesecake) because the cheesecake was ruined. Kaity started to cry too and said "mom I am so sorry that I ruined your birthday cheesecake, does this mean I am in trouble now". I started to laugh and told her no, and we still had ice cream we could put a candle in and have for my Birthday. They felt much better after that. When Austin got home we watched The Proposal. It was a cute movie, Austin even liked it.
It was such a great Birthday!!!

What an awesome birthday. That is at the top of my list of things I want to do before I die. Probably one of the few on my list that involve water;)
