What do you do when it is raining all week?

It has been raining almost everyday since Saturday. It has been sort of nice because it has cooled down into the 80's. Usually I love rainy days except when we have pool plans. On Saturday my friend Kieren called and told me her pool was finally finished. Yeah!!! They have been re-doing all the tile work and switching it to a saline based pool instead of Chlorine. (Which now that I have been in a saline pool I like them WAY better.) It was sunny in the morning and then 30 minutes before we were going to go over there it started to rain. Blah! It only lasted about an hour and we could see some blue sky in the distance so we decided to go swim and hope the blue sky would move our way. The kids had a blast but we (the adults) were bundled up in our towels the whole time. We were there for about 3 hours or more and that little patch of blue sky grew a little bit but never moved close to us.
Here is a picture of our over cast, slightly windy, cool pool day.
Kaity has been wanting to have her friend Kate (the one with the pool) over for a tea party, and every day she wants to it is never a good day for me. Well on Wednesday we watched Kate for a few hours in the morning. We decided since it was raining it was a perfect day for a Princess Tea Party! The girls got all dressed up in their princess attire and then Allie asked me if I could put some makeup on them. I put a little eyeshadow, blush, mascara, and lip gloss on each of them. It was so funny after they all had their makeup on they were standing in a line in front of the mirror posing and examining how pretty they looked. It was so funny to see all three of them doing this at the same time.
We had muffins (a.k.a Halloween cupcakes) and tea (a.k.a. grape soda). The girls had such a great time. Having girls is so much fun!
Thursday it was finally sunny!!! We decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and go to the park with our friends Chantell and Stihl. We were at the park for about 3 hours and the kids never got sick of it. It must have been because they had been cooped up all week.

Allie was so proud of her sand creation!

Group Hug!
Right before we left we went over to have a look at the water and the setting sun.
The girls collected sea shells and held a few baby hermit crabs.
Today, was sunny in the morning/afternoon and then the clouds and rain came back. We usually go to he beach on Friday but I didn't fall asleep until 5 a.m. this morning and was debating if I had the energy to deal with the clean up after the beach. Luckily, Kieren called and said they were going swimming at their pool if we wanted to meet them over there. It was a wonderful day to swim (the water was a little cool but the kids didn't care) We all got a little sunburned but it is supposed to be rainy for the rest of the weekend so we don't care.

I love the picture of you and the girls at the beach! Sounds like you're still managing to have fun, despite the rain!

Hi! I'm so glad you have a blog again! Can't believe y'all went from pink princess party to picking up hermit crabs! Scary. They really just crawl all over the beach? My boys would love that!I can't believe I haven't taken them where you are yet, and also that Allie was picking them up too.
Love, Mom

they are tiny little hermit crabs. The largest ones are about the size of a the tip of a finger. They are actually really cute.

I miss you guys! We need a skype session. So did Katie's teeth turn gray? Poor thing she did that here. Don't feel too bad about being mad at her. Love you guys.
