Some Fun Pictures

I was going through some pictures and I found some that I haven't posted yet that are sort of fun. Some of them are places we have gone and some are just everyday life pictures. Hope you enjoy them.
About a month ago we took Alllie and Kaity to the little tourist shops by the water. We decided to walk since they are only about a half a mile away from our house. It was probably the worst day to walk. It was close to 100 degrees and there were 3 cruise ships here that day. So it was pretty busy. The girls did have a good time looking at all the stuff and asking if we could buy it for them.

All over the town they have these statues of pirates around and the girls had to pose and have their picture taken with everyone that we saw.

As we were headed home we all had so splash in this water fountain just to cool off a bit. And Kaity wouldn't walk any more so we had to take turns carrying her the rest of the way home.

This is my apartment. Allie and Kaity are on the front steps. It's nice to be in a corner unit because we have a lot more windows.

This is the other part that got cut out in the other picture. The kids like to play in this little covered area.

The girls

One good thing I learned about the island is that there are no poisons snakes, but... there are poisons centipedes. This was crawling across my floor one night after it had rained outside. I curled in a ball on the couch while Austin went and got a shew to smash it. This sucker was hard to kill. I'm not sure if this is the kind that is deadly if it pinches you but I really don't want to find out. I was told this is small though. YIKES!!!!

This is our car. It is an American car so the steering wheel is on the left. I am used to driving on the left of the road now and I am a pro at round abouts now. (Their are a lot of round abouts and I actually prefer them to 4 way stops.)

We went to the park last week with the kids and our neighbors. The little blond boy is Sthil. He lives 2 doors away in out appt. His dad is a medical student and his wife is my beach buddy. They are also from Beaver.

This is Amiccia (A.K.A Miccie) She just turned 3 and she is full of personality. She cracks me up. She lives next door and loves to give us hugs.
This is Miccie's little sister Ashante (AKA Shante). Isn't she cute. She is a huge daddy's girl. She is warming up to me a little now. Every so ofter she will let me pick her up to give her a kiss and that is about it.
That white thing in the tree is a chicken. I had to include this picture because I posted about the chickens flying and climbing trees here and didn't have my camera, so here is a picture. It is like 20 feet in the air. Crazy hu?

After Hurricane Ike passed over Cuba we got some pretty cool waves again. This is Austin trying to body surf on them. It didn't work very well and he did get plowed by a wave which was pretty funny. The waves are kind of cool but they bring in so much moss and mess up the beaches.

This was last week driving home from the beach with my neighbor Chantell. It was so cute all three of them sacked out on the way home.

This is Kaity's favorite thing to do. She sticks her head though this little place in our stairs and watches me in the kitchen.
We got some books in with out Ensign and Allie was excited. She told me to take a picture of her holding the book. Every day they will be doing things and one of them will say "mom is this cute? take a picture of me." So this was one of those moments.

Austin got Kaity ready one day and put a scarf on her head. She thought she was so cool.

I went to tell Austin and the girls that dinner was ready the other day and this is what I found. I had to take the picture because they all look so tuckered out. Austin from school, and the girls and I had gone to the beach.

That is it for now. We miss you all!!!

Such awesome pictures! Your girls are just amazingly beautiful. Maddy always asks to go to Beaver and play with her sisters (your kids...) and I am trying to tell her that you aren't there for a few more years, and they sure aren't sisters! She gets mad at me. And NASTY BUGS! Holy Moley! Watch out! It seems like you are making lots of friends, that is so great!

How did I miss your updated post? I check back practically every hour to see if you added photos! :) I loved seeing all these photos of the girls. It cracks me up that they say, "Is this cute Mom? Take a picture." I need to show you the pictures of us on our pizza night. The girls' poses are so funny! I need to start coming to the beach with you guys. I feel like David and I don't go enough and that is something we will regret if we don't change!
